As for a scratched CD, that's not it other computers recognize the CD fine. Hey there, did you find the solution to this problem, as i have the same thing happening. With no prior technical knowledge required, the software ensures recovery by even a novice user.

In other words, Windows is locking you out because it thinks it is an illegal copy. I assume a complete reformat of your drive is the only way to fix this, aside from completing the authorization process.
